Chapter 1
Act I · The Greenhouse Signal
The dome sends a message in plant data, and the team debates whether to answer.
The garden broadcast your name before anyone told it you had arrived.
Inside a coastal research dome, an experimental seed archive has survived a year of storms, outages, and isolation. When the plants begin producing radio-like patterns that match old rescue frequencies, a young field team must decide whether the signal is a natural anomaly, a damaged monitoring system, or a message from an ecosystem learning to protect itself. The story focuses on curiosity, teamwork, scientific ethics, and the cost of rushing a discovery before it is understood.
Each role enters the same night with a different pressure, motive, and failure condition.
