The Premise
Chenghai has been sealed for three years after the Dream Plague turned most residents into night-active, synchronized groups. Lin Zhao, a neuroimmunology researcher, survives inside a converted subway station, broadcasting the same rescue message every morning and searching for a cure by day. On the 1047th broadcast, the city answers back through broken public speakers and displays a photo of his safehouse door. A survivor from outside the quarantine line arrives with a hidden agenda, a boy from the old cinema knows the night group is not mindless, and a special infected called White Bird may remember more than anyone is ready to admit. The question is no longer how to kill the monsters. It is who has been calling whom a monster.
